DAY 25-29. Peking and surrounding

The ship has arrived to Tianjin, which is a 3 hours drive from Beijing :(, or taxi + train also almost 3 hours. I spent couple of days here and Tianjin was my last stop on the cruise. In terms of urban population, Tianjin is the fourth largest in China, after ShanghaiBeijing, and Guangzhou.

To be honest, there is nothing to see in Tianjin, it is not worth to stay there, if Beijing is there!
Bye-bye Celebrity Millenium, it was a great cruise, but once it is time to say goodbye :).

Welcome to Tianjin railway station :)

NOBODY, nobody speaks any single word in english at the railway station, it makes horrible difficult to manage what you want.
Let's see how can anyone go to Beijing:
1. Negotiate the taxi fare price from port to station (drivers are abusers!!)
2. At station go through the security chech to enter to the ticket office
3. At ticket office  find the specific window where you can buy your ticket, one window, one station, if you stand in a wrong line you have to do it again, everything is written ONLY IN CHINESE!
4. Go out from this building and go into the other one through the ticket control
5. After ticket control go through the security check
6. If you are inside find the platforms on a specific floor, where nobody speaks any foreign language
7. If you find your specific platform go through the ticket control
8. Go down by escalator and wait for your train (it arrives on time)
9. Look for your seat and enjoy the journey :) That's all. Is not that easy :)

Finally in Beijing!
Beijing, sometimes romanized as Peking,  is the capital of the People's Republic of China and one of the most populous cities in the world. The population as of 2013 was 20,150,000. The metropolis, located in northern China, is governed as a direct-controlled municipality under the national government, with 14 urban and suburban districts and two rural counties. Beijing is the second largest Chinese city by urban population after Shanghai and is the nation's political, cultural, and educational center.
The city's history dates back three millennia. As the last of the Four Great Ancient Capitals of China, Beijing has been the political center of the country for much of the past eight centuries. The city is renowned for its opulent palaces, temples, parks and gardens, tombs, walls and gates, and its art treasures and universities have made it a center of culture and art in China.

Beijing has plenty of UNESCO World Heritage Sites – the Forbidden City

Temple of Heaven,

Summer Palace

Ming Tombs

Great Wall

Some other MUST to visit places such as the Tiananmen square,

the Hutongs, the old city,

the Olimpic Park,

and the night market with some special street food!

YES-YES everything is real and not fake, and smell, as it has to smell :).

IF you are fastidious about these little animals, I highly recommend the duck!

As a night experience the acrobatic show is very nice, BUT the Shanghai Circus World is far awawy the BEST!

In Beijing the police, security, army and plenty of secret servise control is very strong.

They were my absolute favourite :) Photos are NOT WELCOME!

Here you can take!

All in all Beijing was a great experience, and here the most important thing are to tolerate and fight for yourself !
